Disability and Aging Resource Institute

The Disability and Aging Resource Institute (DARI) is a specialized service, founded by Alma C. Stewart in 2002. The Program Director, Stella D. Guidroz, guides the program in providing consultation to public and private employers, human services providers and agencies, advocates, and others on matters regarding services for people with disabilities and long-term care services.

DARI Vision

DARI is identified as an expert resource in the disability services arena on quality improvement solutions for person centered services.

DARI works to

  • Assist in creating systems changes in long-term care that include structural and program design.
  • Help ameliorate conditions for community life ranging from physical barriers to applicable policy.
  • Aid in raising awareness of health disparities among targeted groups and promote better health outcomes.
